Beach Time

We went to visit Mimi and Robin in Daytona for a few days.  Winston's first trip to the beach.  Elliot had a blast in the ocean (O-chin, and Uncle Graem and Elliot say).

Winston is 5 months old!

If everything takes twice as long to do with two small children in tow, then why do the days fly by?  Well, big Winston turned 5 months old!  He's chugging right along... at his 4 month check up I believe he was 16 lbs... he's probably 17-something lbs now!

I wish I could blog "every day" like I did with Elliot...but time flies and before I know it months have passed before I get a second to jot some things down..  So for the record not only is this blog for the fam...but for me to jot down some happenings so one day I can look back and remember these great moments...

Let's see... At 4 months to the day, Winston started solids... he loved oatmeal...and within the first week we tried apples, prunes, carrots, squash, bananas and green beans I think... A week ago I decided to switch to formula, he's been doing perfect with the bottle and his stinky/stopped up/poop-less for days situation seems to have leveled out.  Not that I'm sure the two have anything to do with each other.  But he's doing good in the food/poop department.  We also use Myralax to help out his gassy issues... OKAY.  sorry for the poop talk..  But, I have to tell it like it is, so I have it on record.  I love looking back through Elliot's blog and getting tips, or just laughing about all that we did...

ummmm... I think I might have heard a "mama" from Winston, about 2 weeks ago... and possibly about 2 times since then... it's seems to come through when he's crying....and then mutters a "mmmmaaammmmmaaa" ... so take that for what its worth ;)  Will, swears up and down that the child says "I love You." ...........  ;-)

OH!  about a month ago I would say, Elliot and Winston started buliding on THEIR relationship!  At meal sittings, they catch each others attention and just laugh back and forth the whole meal.  It's SO NICE to see them interacting and loving on each other...after quite and adjustment for Mr. Elliot being the only one until now.  We play a game we call "Here he comes, there he goes..."  and thats where Elliot makes a silly face at him, and then runs away... and then seconds later, runs back in the room... and I say "here he comes" or "there he goes" the whole time.  Im pretty sure the three of us played this for 30 minutes one time.  It's hilarious.

We definitely have rolling over-age going down now for a few weeks... Winston loves tummy time...and it seems as if he wants to crawl before sitting up...which I think was the opposite for Elliot?

Winston has been sleeping great!  for the last week or so...he pretty much goes to sleep at 10pm and wakes up around 6/7am... YEAH FOR ME!!!  With Elliot he slept with me...and nursed at every waking for almost a year.  That routine wasn't going to cut it this time around.  So I make sure Winston gets plenty of cuddles during the day...and then we all get some good sleep at night!

A few nick names we have for him are "Win-sto" (Elliot's favorite), "Winsteee" and "Winnie the poo"
