Looking back on Elliot's blog entries reminds me how important it is, to me atleast... to record some great happenings from my children's childhoods... That being said... Winston's bout to get brought up to speed!!
Let's see, as of today... "Winstee"aka "my quiet warrior" is almost 20 months old... He doesn't say a whoooole lot... but he communicates in other ways out the wazoo. He follows direction, shows his "happy" face, shakes his "silly head"... for about a month now, he's been recognizing airplanes in the sky... He will stop, get everyones attention and point up, and mutter "ugh ugh ugh" while pointing. "ugh ugh nun nnnh" is his main vocal expression... he points at something... "ugh"... he needs water... "ugh"... we try to encourage Winnee to say what he wants by pointing and repeating it ourselves...
He mutters "maaaa muuuuh" and "daaa daaa"... "BA" is a LOT of things... like I'll say, "Say 'ice' winston"... "BA"
aboooout 2 months ago... he walked up to me and said "BAT" very clearly! and holding, a bat! I would say that is his first real word... but we're also sure when his was a little man (3 months on or so...) he used to mutter "mamamamamama" and "ellie elllie ellllie"... so at one point we considered "Elliot" to be his first word?
He's my little mysterious man. So kind hearted and a bit shy. Very smart. Very inquisitive. You can watch him thinking a bit before he makes a move for something...
He and Elliot ARE. IN. LOVE. They are so good with each other. A friendship really budded between them that I never even considered or promoted. A couple of good dudes those guys.

8 Months Old
Winston, 8 months old... He is crawling every where. Reaching for everything. He says "Mama" (still...has said that for a few months now) and babbles things like "A-ga" and "ga...aaaaa-GA..." We started introducing things like puffs and rice crackers so he could practice picking up and eating...but he seems to gag on them a bit...not really in to it. Winston has 3, allllmost 4 teeth. Two bottom, top right and just this week, the top left is cutting. Elliot and Winston just got over a virus that lasted about 12 days :( Winston's first fever. But they are doing awesome now!

Sippy cups and rice crackers...
Winston is giving his first sippy cup a whirl...not bad...
and this would be his attempt at a rice cracker...his first cruchy food...and...
he's pretty disgusted by it...
lot's of gagging ensued. We'll keep trying. :)
